"The Message of Christmas"
Luke 2:1-20

‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:1-20‬‬
In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that the whole empire should be registered. This first registration took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. So everyone went to be registered, each to his own town. Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family line of David, to be registered along with Mary, who was engaged to him and was pregnant. While they were there, the time came for her to give birth. Then she gave birth to her firstborn son, and she wrapped him tightly in cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. In the same region, shepherds were staying out in the fields and keeping watch at night over their flock. Then an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid, for look, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people: Today in the city of David a Savior was born for you, who is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be the sign for you: You will find a baby wrapped tightly in cloth and lying in a manger.” Suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host with the angel, praising God and saying: Glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace on earth to people he favors! When the angels had left them and returned to heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go straight to Bethlehem and see what has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.” They hurried off and found both Mary and Joseph, and the baby who was lying in the manger. After seeing them, they reported the message they were told about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary was treasuring up all these things in her heart and meditating on them. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had seen and heard, which were just as they had been told.

Why did God send the angel to the shepherds?

The Good Shepherd was coming

Jesus said again, “Truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep didn’t listen to them. I am the gate. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will come in and go out and find pasture.

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

‭‭John‬ ‭10:11‬‬
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

The Lamb of God was coming

‭‭John‬ ‭1:29‬‬
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

The Savior of the world was coming for ALL

“You save the humble, but Your eyes are on the haughty to bring them low.” 2 Sam. 22:28

“This is what the Lord says: ‘This is the one I esteem; he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at My word.” Isaiah 66:1

“For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.” Mt 23:12

"God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. – 1 Peter 5:5-6

What can we learn from the shepherds?

‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:15-16‬‬
When the angels had left them and returned to heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go straight to Bethlehem and see what has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.” They hurried off and found both Mary and Joseph, and the baby who was lying in the manger.

Tell the Christmas story

‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:17-18‬‬
After seeing them, they reported the message they were told about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.

Rejoice in the goodness of God

‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:20‬‬
The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had seen and heard, which were just as they had been told.

"When God Shows Up"
Matthew 1:18-25

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1:18-25‬‬
The birth of Jesus Christ came about this way: After his mother Mary had been engaged to Joseph, it was discovered before they came together that she was pregnant from the Holy Spirit. So her husband, Joseph, being a righteous man, and not wanting to disgrace her publicly, decided to divorce her secretly. But after he had considered these things, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because what has been conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet: See, the virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and they will name him Immanuel, which is translated “God is with us.” When Joseph woke up, he did as the Lord’s angel had commanded him. He married her but did not have sexual relations with her until she gave birth to a son. And he named him Jesus.

"God Always Makes A Way"
Luke 1:6-7

‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:12‬‬
When Zechariah saw him, he was terrified and overcome with fear.

‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:6-7‬‬
Both were righteous in God’s sight, living without blame according to all the commands and requirements of the Lord. But they had no children because Elizabeth could not conceive, and both of them were well along in years.

1. Seeking God doesn’t keep you from the difficulties of life
(v. 7)

‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:13‬‬
But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zechariah, because your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you will name him John.

2. God’s promises are true, but you must be obedient.
(v.24)

‭‭Malachi‬ ‭4:5-6‬‬
Look, I am going to send you the prophet Elijah before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes. And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers. Otherwise, I will come and strike the land with a curse.”

He will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God. And he will go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of fathers to their children, and the disobedient to the understanding of the righteous, to make ready for the Lord a prepared people.”

“How can I know this?” Zechariah asked the angel. “For I am an old man, and my wife is well along in years.”

Fear came on all those who lived around them, and all these things were being talked about throughout the hill country of Judea. All who heard about him took it to heart, saying, “What then will this child become?” For, indeed, the Lord’s hand was with him.

3. God’s discipline is to draw you closer to Him. He loves you.

Now listen. You will become silent and unable to speak until the day these things take place, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their proper time.”

4. Your story is not about you.

Now listen: You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus.

And you, child, will be called a prophet of the Most High, for you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways,

"The Characters of Christmas"
Matthew 2:1-12

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭2:1-12‬‬
Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him; and assembling all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born. They told him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it is written by the prophet: “‘And you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for from you shall come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.’” Then Herod summoned the wise men secretly and ascertained from them what time the star had appeared. And he sent them to Bethlehem, saying, “Go and search diligently for the child, and when you have found him, bring me word, that I too may come and worship him.” After listening to the king, they went on their way. And behold, the star that they had seen when it rose went before them until it came to rest over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh. And being warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed to their own country by another way.

1. A disturbed response
When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him (v3).

2. A disinterested response
…and assembling all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born. They told him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it is written by the prophet:
“‘And you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for from you shall come a ruler
who will shepherd my people Israel’” (vv4-6).

3. A devoted response
And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense, and myrrh (v11).

‭‭Efesios‬ ‭6:10-13‬‬
Por lo demás, hermanos míos, fortaleceos en el Señor, y en el poder de su fuerza. Vestíos de toda la armadura de Dios, para que podáis estar firmes contra las asechanzas del diablo. Porque no tenemos lucha contra sangre y carne, sino contra principados, contra potestades, contra los gobernadores de las tinieblas de este siglo, contra huestes espirituales de maldad en las regiones celestes. Por tanto, tomad toda la armadura de Dios, para que podáis resistir en el día malo, y habiendo acabado todo, estar firmes.

1. Sea fuerte
“Por lo demás, fortaleceos en el Señor y en el poder de su fuerza.” (6.10)
¿Cómo puedes ser fuerte en el señor?
-Estudiando la Palabra de Dios

2. Esté protegido
“Revestíos con toda la armadura de Dios para que podáis estar firmes contra las insidias del diablo.” (6.11)
¿Cómo puedes estar protegido por la armadura de Dios?
-Obedeciendo la Palabra de Dios

3. Esté alerta
“Porque nuestra lucha no es contra sangre y carne, sino contra principados, contra potestades, contra los poderes de este mundo de tinieblas, contra las huestes espirituales de maldad en las regiones celestiales. Por tanto, tomad toda la armadura de Dios, para que podáis resistir en el día malo, y habiéndolo hecho todo, estar firmes.” (6.12-13)

Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by his vast strength. Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against evil, spiritual forces in the heavens. For this reason take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand.

‭‭Efesios‬ ‭5:21-32‬‬
Someteos unos a otros en el temor de Dios. Las casadas estén sujetas a sus propios maridos, como al Señor; porque el marido es cabeza de la mujer, así como Cristo es cabeza de la iglesia, la cual es su cuerpo, y él es su Salvador. Así que, como la iglesia está sujeta a Cristo, así también las casadas lo estén a sus maridos en todo. Maridos, amad a vuestras mujeres, así como Cristo amó a la iglesia, y se entregó a sí mismo por ella, para santificarla, habiéndola purificado en el lavamiento del agua por la palabra, a fin de presentársela a sí mismo, una iglesia gloriosa, que no tuviese mancha ni arruga ni cosa semejante, sino que fuese santa y sin mancha. Así también los maridos deben amar a sus mujeres como a sus mismos cuerpos. El que ama a su mujer, a sí mismo se ama. Porque nadie aborreció jamás a su propia carne, sino que la sustenta y la cuida, como también Cristo a la iglesia, porque somos miembros de su cuerpo, de su carne y de sus huesos. Por esto dejará el hombre a su padre y a su madre, y se unirá a su mujer, y los dos serán una sola carne. Grande es este misterio; mas yo digo esto respecto de Cristo y de la iglesia.

‭‭Efesios‬ ‭6:1-9‬‬
Hijos, obedeced en el Señor a vuestros padres, porque esto es justo. Honra a tu padre y a tu madre, que es el primer mandamiento con promesa; para que te vaya bien, y seas de larga vida sobre la tierra. Y vosotros, padres, no provoquéis a ira a vuestros hijos, sino criadlos en disciplina y amonestación del Señor. Siervos, obedeced a vuestros amos terrenales con temor y temblor, con sencillez de vuestro corazón, como a Cristo; no sirviendo al ojo, como los que quieren agradar a los hombres, sino como siervos de Cristo, de corazón haciendo la voluntad de Dios; sirviendo de buena voluntad, como al Señor y no a los hombres, sabiendo que el bien que cada uno hiciere, ese recibirá del Señor, sea siervo o sea libre. Y vosotros, amos, haced con ellos lo mismo, dejando las amenazas, sabiendo que el Señor de ellos y vuestro está en los cielos, y que para él no hay acepción de personas.

"Let's Get to the Heart of the Matter"
Ephesians 5:15-17 (CSB)

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5:15-17‬‬
Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk — not as unwise people but as wise —  making the most of the time, because the days are evil. So don’t be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

Examine Your Heart
v.15

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5:1-17‬‬
Therefore, be imitators of God, as dearly loved children, and walk in love, as Christ also loved us and gave himself for us, a sacrificial and fragrant offering to God. But sexual immorality and any impurity or greed should not even be heard of among you, as is proper for saints. Obscene and foolish talking or crude joking are not suitable, but rather giving thanks. For know and recognize this: Every sexually immoral or impure or greedy person, who is an idolater, does not have an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty arguments, for God’s wrath is coming on the disobedient because of these things. Therefore, do not become their partners. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light  —  for the fruit of the light consists of all goodness, righteousness, and truth  —  testing what is pleasing to the Lord. Don’t participate in the fruitless works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is shameful even to mention what is done by them in secret. Everything exposed by the light is made visible, for what makes everything visible is light. Therefore it is said: Get up, sleeper, and rise up from the dead, and Christ will shine on you. Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk — not as unwise people but as wise —  making the most of the time, because the days are evil. So don’t be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

Purify Your Heart
v. 16

Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not appealed to what is false, and who has not sworn deceitfully.

Guard Your Heart

Ephesians 4:25-32 (CSB)

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:25-32‬‬
Therefore, putting away lying, speak the truth, each one to his neighbor, because we are members of one another. Be angry and do not sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your anger, and don’t give the devil an opportunity. Let the thief no longer steal. Instead, he is to do honest work with his own hands, so that he has something to share with anyone in need. No foul language should come from your mouth, but only what is good for building up someone in need, so that it gives grace to those who hear. And don’t grieve God’s Holy Spirit. You were sealed by him for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, anger and wrath, shouting and slander be removed from you, along with all malice. And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.

Una vida que agrada al Señor

‭‭Efesios‬ ‭4:29-32‬‬
Ninguna palabra corrompida salga de vuestra boca, sino la que sea buena para la necesaria edificación, a fin de dar gracia a los oyentes. Y no contristéis al Espíritu Santo de Dios, con el cual fuisteis sellados para el día de la redención. Quítense de vosotros toda amargura, enojo, ira, gritería y maledicencia, y toda malicia. Antes sed benignos unos con otros, misericordiosos, perdonándoos unos a otros, como Dios también os perdonó a vosotros en Cristo.

‭‭Deuteronomio‬ ‭7:6‬‬
Porque tú eres pueblo santo para Jehová tu Dios; Jehová tu Dios te ha escogido para serle un pueblo especial, más que todos los pueblos que están sobre la tierra.

¿Cómo agradar a Dios y como no entristecerlo?
1.- Manteniendo mi identidad como pueblo de Dios en la forma de hablar con otros.

3.- Manteniendo mi identidad como pueblo de Dios en mis acciones.
-Inclinándonos hacia la benignidad.
-Inclinándonos hacia la misericordia.
-Inclinándonos hacia el perdón.

Ephesians 4:17-24

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:17-24‬‬
Therefore, I say this and testify in the Lord: You should no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thoughts. They are darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them and because of the hardness of their hearts. They became callous and gave themselves over to promiscuity for the practice of every kind of impurity with a desire for more and more. But that is not how you came to know Christ, assuming you heard about him and were taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus, to take off your former way of life, the old self that is corrupted by deceitful desires, to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, the one created according to God’s likeness in righteousness and purity of the truth.

‭‭Efesios‬ ‭4:1-6‬‬
Yo pues, preso en el Señor, os ruego que andéis como es digno de la vocación con que fuisteis llamados, con toda humildad y mansedumbre, soportándoos con paciencia los unos a los otros en amor, solícitos en guardar la unidad del Espíritu en el vínculo de la paz; un cuerpo, y un Espíritu, como fuisteis también llamados en una misma esperanza de vuestra vocación; un Señor, una fe, un bautismo, un Dios y Padre de todos, el cual es sobre todos, y por todos, y en todos.

‭‭Efesios‬ ‭4:14-16‬‬
para que ya no seamos niños fluctuantes, llevados por doquiera de todo viento de doctrina, por estratagema de hombres que para engañar emplean con astucia las artimañas del error, sino que siguiendo la verdad en amor, crezcamos en todo en aquel que es la cabeza, esto es, Cristo, de quien todo el cuerpo, bien concertado y unido entre sí por todas las coyunturas que se ayudan mutuamente, según la actividad propia de cada miembro, recibe su crecimiento para ir edificándose en amor.

Ephesians 4:1-6, 14-16

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:1-6, 14-16‬‬
Therefore I, the prisoner in the Lord, urge you to walk worthy of the calling you have received, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit  — just as you were called to one hope at your calling —  one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all. Then we will no longer be little children, tossed by the waves and blown around by every wind of teaching, by human cunning with cleverness in the techniques of deceit. But speaking the truth in love, let us grow in every way into him who is the head  — Christ. From him the whole body, fitted and knit together by every supporting ligament, promotes the growth of the body for building itself up in love by the proper working of each individual part.

Ephesians 3:14-21

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3:14-21‬‬
For this reason I kneel before the Father from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named. I pray that he may grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with power in your inner being through his Spirit, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. I pray that you, being rooted and firmly established in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height and depth of God’s love, and to know Christ’s love that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us —  to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

‭‭Efesios‬ ‭3:14-21‬‬
Por esta causa doblo mis rodillas ante el Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, de quien toma nombre toda familia en los cielos y en la tierra, para que os dé, conforme a las riquezas de su gloria, el ser fortalecidos con poder en el hombre interior por su Espíritu; para que habite Cristo por la fe en vuestros corazones, a fin de que, arraigados y cimentados en amor, seáis plenamente capaces de comprender con todos los santos cuál sea la anchura, la longitud, la profundidad y la altura, y de conocer el amor de Cristo, que excede a todo conocimiento, para que seáis llenos de toda la plenitud de Dios. Y a Aquel que es poderoso para hacer todas las cosas mucho más abundantemente de lo que pedimos o entendemos, según el poder que actúa en nosotros, a él sea gloria en la iglesia en Cristo Jesús por todas las edades, por los siglos de los siglos. Amén.

El antes y el después

‭‭Efesios‬ ‭2:1-10‬‬
Y él os dio vida a vosotros, cuando estabais muertos en vuestros delitos y pecados, en los cuales anduvisteis en otro tiempo, siguiendo la corriente de este mundo, conforme al príncipe de la potestad del aire, el espíritu que ahora opera en los hijos de desobediencia, entre los cuales también todos nosotros vivimos en otro tiempo en los deseos de nuestra carne, haciendo la voluntad de la carne y de los pensamientos, y éramos por naturaleza hijos de ira, lo mismo que los demás. Pero Dios, que es rico en misericordia, por su gran amor con que nos amó, aun estando nosotros muertos en pecados, nos dio vida juntamente con Cristo (por gracia sois salvos), y juntamente con él nos resucitó, y asimismo nos hizo sentar en los lugares celestiales con Cristo Jesús, para mostrar en los siglos venideros las abundantes riquezas de su gracia en su bondad para con nosotros en Cristo Jesús. Porque por gracia sois salvos por medio de la fe; y esto no de vosotros, pues es don de Dios; no por obras, para que nadie se gloríe. Ephesians 2:1-10

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:1-10‬‬
And you were dead in your trespasses and sins in which you previously walked according to the ways of this world, according to the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit now working in the disobedient. We too all previously lived among them in our fleshly desires, carrying out the inclinations of our flesh and thoughts, and we were by nature children under wrath as the others were also. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love that he had for us, made us alive with Christ even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace! He also raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavens in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might display the immeasurable riches of his grace through his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift —  not from works, so that no one can boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do.

‭‭Efesios‬ ‭1:11-23‬‬
En él asimismo tuvimos herencia, habiendo sido predestinados conforme al propósito del que hace todas las cosas según el designio de su voluntad, a fin de que seamos para alabanza de su gloria, nosotros los que primeramente esperábamos en Cristo. En él también vosotros, habiendo oído la palabra de verdad, el evangelio de vuestra salvación, y habiendo creído en él, fuisteis sellados con el Espíritu Santo de la promesa, que es las arras de nuestra herencia hasta la redención de la posesión adquirida, para alabanza de su gloria. Por esta causa también yo, habiendo oído de vuestra fe en el Señor Jesús, y de vuestro amor para con todos los santos, no ceso de dar gracias por vosotros, haciendo memoria de vosotros en mis oraciones, para que el Dios de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, el Padre de gloria, os dé espíritu de sabiduría y de revelación en el conocimiento de él, alumbrando los ojos de vuestro entendimiento, para que sepáis cuál es la esperanza a que él os ha llamado, y cuáles las riquezas de la gloria de su herencia en los santos, y cuál la supereminente grandeza de su poder para con nosotros los que creemos, según la operación del poder de su fuerza, la cual operó en Cristo, resucitándole de los muertos y sentándole a su diestra en los lugares celestiales, sobre todo principado y autoridad y poder y señorío, y sobre todo nombre que se nombra, no solo en este siglo, sino también en el venidero; y sometió todas las cosas bajo sus pies, y lo dio por cabeza sobre todas las cosas a la iglesia, la cual es su cuerpo, la plenitud de Aquel que todo lo llena en todo.

Grace is God’s unmerited favor

Grace is God giving you want you don’t deserve.

Grace is the freely-given love, forgiveness, acceptance and help of God.

Completion

Be a grace receiver.

Be a grace giver.

Amén: Tentación y liberación

‭‭S. Mateo‬ ‭6:13‬‬
Y no nos metas en tentación, mas líbranos del mal; porque tuyo es el reino, y el poder, y la gloria, por todos los siglos. Amén.

1. Le pedimos que él ordene nuestros pasos
“Y no nos dejes caer en tentación” (Mateo 6.13ª)
a. Reconocemos que no tenemos control de las cosas.
b. Reconocemos que solo Dios tiene el control.

Estad alerta y orad para no caer en tentación.
El espíritu está dispuesto, pero el cuerpo es débil

2. Le pedimos que nos de fuerzas para no pecar.
“sino líbranos del mal.”(Mateo 6.13b)
a. Le pedimos que nos de fuerzas para resistir a Satanás.
b. Cristo tiene el poder sobre satanás y nos puede librar.

No podemos pedir:
“Dios, No envíes pruebas a mi vida…”

3. Reconocemos el dominio de Dios.
“Porque Tuyo es el reino y el poder y la gloria para siempre”(Mateo 6.13c)
a. Porque reconocemos su Reino.
b. Porque confiamos en su Poder.
c. Porque sabemos que es para su Gloria.

Creemos lo que pedimos. ¡Reconocemos que sucederá! Como Dios ha dicho y prometido.

‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:42‬‬
And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.

BIBLICAL FELLOWSHIP IS FOUNDATIONAL TO THE CHRISTIAN LIFE

“Fellowship” comes from the Greek word koinonia
·      A mutual bond
·      Sharing
·      Close association

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:24-25‬‬
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

FELLOWSHIP EXPRESSES LOVE AND ENCOURAGES GOOD WORKS
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works…

‭‭S. Mateo‬ ‭6:12-15‬‬
Y perdónanos nuestras deudas, como también nosotros perdonamos a nuestros deudores. Y no nos metas en tentación, mas líbranos del mal; porque tuyo es el reino, y el poder, y la gloria, por todos los siglos. Amén. Porque si perdonáis a los hombres sus ofensas, os perdonará también a vosotros vuestro Padre celestial; mas si no perdonáis a los hombres sus ofensas, tampoco vuestro Padre os perdonará vuestras ofensas.

1. La Paga del pecado.
¡La Salvación proporciona el perdón eterno de un Dios justo!
a. Aunque salvos, aún somos pecadores.
b. Jamás podremos nosotros pagar esa deuda.

2. La Petición de Perdón.
¡El Perdón de los pecados es necesario para tener una relación con un Dios Perfecto!
a. ¿Que significa perdonar?
b. ¿Quien perdona nuestras deudas?

3. El Poder del perdón.
¡Perdonar nos acerca a Dios! ¡No hacerlo nos pone en los planes de Satanás!
a. Un corazón perdonado es perdonador.
b. Perdonar es evidencia de haber sido perdonado.

Debemos reconocer nuestra culpabilidad y renunciar a la auto justificación.

Forgiveness of sin is necessary for a relationship with a perfect God

Salvation provides eternal forgiveness from a just God

Confession focuses on our daily relationship with God the father

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:14-15‬‬
For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

A person with a forgiving heart recognizes the severity of their sin

A person with a forgiving heart understands the magnitude of Gods grace

la salud espiritual

‭‭S. Mateo‬ ‭6:5-12‬‬
Y cuando ores, no seas como los hipócritas; porque ellos aman el orar en pie en las sinagogas y en las esquinas de las calles, para ser vistos de los hombres; de cierto os digo que ya tienen su recompensa. Mas tú, cuando ores, entra en tu aposento, y cerrada la puerta, ora a tu Padre que está en secreto; y tu Padre que ve en lo secreto te recompensará en público. Y orando, no uséis vanas repeticiones, como los gentiles, que piensan que por su palabrería serán oídos. No os hagáis, pues, semejantes a ellos; porque vuestro Padre sabe de qué cosas tenéis necesidad, antes que vosotros le pidáis. Vosotros, pues, oraréis así: Padre nuestro que estás en los cielos, santificado sea tu nombre. Venga tu reino. Hágase tu voluntad, como en el cielo, así también en la tierra. El pan nuestro de cada día, dánoslo hoy. Y perdónanos nuestras deudas, como también nosotros perdonamos a nuestros deudores.

Mas buscad primeramente el reino de Dios y su justicia, y todas estas cosas os serán añadidas. Así que, no os afanéis por el día de mañana, porque el día de mañana traerá su afán. Basta a cada día su propio mal.

4. Reconociendo nuestra condición delante de Él
a. Nuestros pecados ante Dios
Isaías 43:25 "Yo, yo soy el que borro tus rebeliones por amor de mí mismo, y no me acordaré de tus pecados."
b. Ofensas a otros y las ofensas de otros
Mateo 5:44
«Pero yo les digo: Amen a sus enemigos, y oren por quienes los persiguen».
Mateo 6:14-15
«Porque si ustedes perdonan a otros el mal que les han hecho, su Padre que está
en el cielo los perdonará también a ustedes; pero si no perdonan a otros,
tampoco su Padre les perdonará a ustedes sus pecados».
Colosenses 3:13
«Sopórtense unos a otros, y perdónense si alguno tiene una queja contra otro.
Así como el Señor los perdonó, perdonen también ustedes».

2. La Soberanía de Dios
Hacer la voluntad de Dios requiere conocer la voluntad de Dios, pero ¡también requiere hacerla!
a. Debe ser conocida
b. Debe ser obedecida
c. Como en el Cielo

PRAYER REVEALS OUR PRIORITIES
Your kingdom come, your will be done

THE KINGDOM IS THE END GOAL OF ALL GOD IS DOING.
Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Kingdom - a place and a people under the authority of a king

GOD WANTS TO MAKE EARTH LIKE HEAVEN
…on earth as it is in heaven.

PRAYER TEACHES US DEPENDANCE
Give us this day our daily bread.

PRAYER TEACHES US DEPENDANCE
·      Be ok not having it all.
·      Don’t forget God if abundance comes.
·      Thank God for the blessings you have experienced in life.
·      Consider what you use your abundance for.

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:31-33‬‬
Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Vosotros, pues, oraréis así: Padre nuestro que estás en los cielos, santificado sea tu nombre.

1. Dios es nuestro Padre “Padre nuestro…”
a. Un Dios Personal
b. Un Dios de amor
No es a un extraño, es nuestro PADRE, debemos orar con confianza y reverencia.

2. Dios esta en los cielos “que estás en el cielo…”
a. Un Dios poderoso
b. Un Dios soberano
Nuestro Dios se encuentra en el cielo indicando su superioridad sobre nosotros, hay una gran diferencia entre Dios y nosotros.

3. Dios es Santo “santificado sea tu nombre”
a. Debemos santificarlo en nuestros corazones
b. Debemos Santificarlo en nuestra vida
Él es santo y su nombre debe ser reconocido y santificado por todos, especialmente por su pueblo.

S. Mateo 6:5-8
Y cuando ores, no seas como los hipócritas; porque ellos aman el orar en pie en las sinagogas y en las esquinas de las calles, para ser vistos de los hombres; de cierto os digo que ya tienen su recompensa. Mas tú, cuando ores, entra en tu aposento, y cerrada la puerta, ora a tu Padre que está en secreto; y tu Padre que ve en lo secreto te recompensará en público. Y orando, no uséis vanas repeticiones, como los gentiles, que piensan que por su palabrería serán oídos. No os hagáis, pues, semejantes a ellos; porque vuestro Padre sabe de qué cosas tenéis necesidad, antes que vosotros le pidáis.

Attempting to appear spiritual is empty and destructive

Matthew 6:5-8
“And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. “And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

Prayer is an intimate pursuit of Jesus

Prayer is an authentic trusting relationship

Revelation 22

The River of Life

[1] Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb [2] through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. [3] No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. [4] They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. [5] And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.

Jesus Is Coming

[6] And he said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place.”

[7] “And behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

[8] I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me, [9] but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.”

[10] And he said to me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near. [11] Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy.”

[12] “Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. [13] I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”

[14] Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates. [15] Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

[16] “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.”

[17] The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.

[18] I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, [19] and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

[20] He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!

[21] The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen. (ESV)

The 23rd Psalm

Psalm 23:2
He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.

The only sheep that lie down are ones that are...
not hungry
not scared

God desires to replaces our anxiety and fear with rest and peace

We don’t rest because...
We equate busyness with importance or value.

We are attempting to drown
out the noise of failure or conviction

We are fearful because...
We focus on the negative
We can’t see a solution

We don’t think God will come through

Matthew 11:28-30
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

El Salmo 23

Salmos 23:1
Jehová es mi pastor; nada me faltará.

Muchas personas no tienen el gran privilegio de entender
esta palabra:
Algunos porque no creen en nuestro Dios todopoderoso.
Otros porque no han tomado la decisión de depositar su
corazón en las manos del Señor.
Otros porque están sumergidos en religiones donde la
distancia entre su dios y ellos es muy grande y porque no
existe ni la más remota posibilidad de que su dios pueda
acercarse a sus vidas.
No hay cercanía, y lo único que
piensan es en el castigo que recibirán por mal comportamiento.

1. Un Dios cerca de Tí
“Claman los justos, y Jehová oye, y los libra de todas sus
angustias. Cercano está Jehová a los quebrantados de
corazón; y salva a los contritos de espíritu.” (Salmos 34:17-18).
a. Él es el creador
b. Él es el que conoce tu vida
c. Él es el que todo lo puede.

2. Un Pastor que ama sus ovejas
"Como pastor apacentará su rebaño; en su brazo llevará los corderos, y en su seno los llevará; pastoreará suavemente a las recién paridas." Isaias 40:11
Somos ovejas privilegiadas porque:
a. Al ser “Mi Pastor” tenemosuna relaciónpersonal.
b. Al ser “Mi Pastor" tenemos un protector cercano.
c. Al ser "Mi Pastor" Él Conoce nuestras debilidades y nuestras
fortalezas.

S. Juan 10:11
Yo soy el buen pastor; el buen pastor su vida da por las ovejas.

Salmos 121:5-8
Jehová es tu guardador; Jehová es tu sombra a tu mano derecha. El sol no te fatigará de día, Ni la luna de noche. Jehová te guardará de todo mal; Él guardará tu alma. Jehová guardará tu salida y tu entrada Desde ahora y para siempre.

3. Un proveedor en nuestras necesidades
Él provee:
a. Mi Salud
b. Mis necesidades
c. Mi seguridad

Juan 10:14-16
14 »Yo soy el buen pastor;
conozco a mis ovejas, y ellas me conocen a mí,15 así como
el Padre me conoce a mí y yo lo conozco a él, y doy mi vida
por las ovejas.16 Tengo otras ovejas que no son de este
redil, y también a ellas debo traerlas. Así ellas escucharán
mi voz, y habrá un solo rebaño y un solo pastor.

The 23rd Psalm

Psalm 23:1-6
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.                                  

“The Lord” describes an authoritative relationship; an all-ruling power

“My shepherd” describes a personal relationship; an intimate connection

My shepherd will...
Provide for me
Lead me
Never leave me
Fight for me

1 Corintios 12:12-26
Porque así como el cuerpo es uno, y tiene muchos miembros, pero todos los miembros del cuerpo, siendo muchos, son un solo cuerpo, así también Cristo. Porque por un solo Espíritu fuimos todos bautizados en un cuerpo, sean judíos o griegos, sean esclavos o libres; y a todos se nos dio a beber de un mismo Espíritu. Además, el cuerpo no es un solo miembro, sino muchos. Si dijere el pie: Porque no soy mano, no soy del cuerpo, ¿por eso no será del cuerpo? Y si dijere la oreja: Porque no soy ojo, no soy del cuerpo, ¿por eso no será del cuerpo? Si todo el cuerpo fuese ojo, ¿dónde estaría el oído? Si todo fuese oído, ¿dónde estaría el olfato? Mas ahora Dios ha colocado los miembros cada uno de ellos en el cuerpo, como él quiso. Porque si todos fueran un solo miembro, ¿dónde estaría el cuerpo? Pero ahora son muchos los miembros, pero el cuerpo es uno solo. Ni el ojo puede decir a la mano: No te necesito, ni tampoco la cabeza a los pies: No tengo necesidad de vosotros. Antes bien los miembros del cuerpo que parecen más débiles, son los más necesarios; y a aquellos del cuerpo que nos parecen menos dignos, a estos vestimos más dignamente; y los que en nosotros son menos decorosos, se tratan con más decoro. Porque los que en nosotros son más decorosos, no tienen necesidad; pero Dios ordenó el cuerpo, dando más abundante honor al que le faltaba, para que no haya desavenencia en el cuerpo, sino que los miembros todos se preocupen los unos por los otros. De manera que si un miembro padece, todos los miembros se duelen con él, y si un miembro recibe honra, todos los miembros con él se gozan.

1. Ser miembros de la iglesia significa que todos somos necesarios.
a. Membresía cultural.
b. Membresía bíblica.

2. Ser miembros de la iglesia significa que todos somos diferentes.
a. Cada uno es parte del cuerpo.
b. Diversidad como característica.

Ser miembros de la iglesia significa que todos tenemos una tarea.
a. Dios da capacidades.
b. Dios da un lugar de servicio.

4. Ser miembros de la iglesia significa que todos trabajamos juntos.
a. Nadie puede prescindir del otro.
b. Aun los menos pensados son necesarios.

"The Church Matters"

“The church exists for those that aren’t here yet”

1 Corinthians 12:12-26
For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body— Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit. For the body does not consist of one member but of many. If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. If all were a single member, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, yet one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and on those parts of the body that we think less honorable we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty, which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.

“Love your neighbor” is God’s primary method of spreading the Gospel

“Love your neighbor” is an opportunity to be hands and feet of Jesus

Luke 10:25-37
And behold, a lawyer stood up to put him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” He said to him, “What is written in the Law? How do you read it?” And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” And he said to him, “You have answered correctly; do this, and you will live.” But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” Jesus replied, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him and beat him and departed, leaving him half dead. Now by chance a priest was going down that road, and when he saw him he passed by on the other side. So likewise a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was, and when he saw him, he had compassion. He went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him. And the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take care of him, and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back.’ Which of these three, do you think, proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?” He said, “The one who showed him mercy.” And Jesus said to him, “You go, and do likewise.”

A true neighbor is willing to sacrifice their TIME, MONEY, and EFFORT

A true neighbor’s motivation is passion for the Gospel and love for people

Aquel, respondiendo, dijo: Amarás al Señor tu Dios con todo tu corazón, y con toda tu alma, y con todas tus fuerzas, y con toda tu mente; y a tu prójimo como a ti mismo. Y le dijo: Bien has respondido; haz esto, y vivirás. Pero él, queriendo justificarse a sí mismo, dijo a Jesús: ¿Y quién es mi prójimo? Respondiendo Jesús, dijo: Un hombre descendía de Jerusalén a Jericó, y cayó en manos de ladrones, los cuales le despojaron; e hiriéndole, se fueron, dejándole medio muerto. Efesios 6:5-9
Siervos, obedeced a vuestros amos terrenales con temor y temblor, con sencillez de vuestro corazón, como a Cristo; no sirviendo al ojo, como los que quieren agradar a los hombres, sino como siervos de Cristo, de corazón haciendo la voluntad de Dios; sirviendo de buena voluntad, como al Señor y no a los hombres, sabiendo que el bien que cada uno hiciere, ese recibirá del Señor, sea siervo o sea libre. Y vosotros, amos, haced con ellos lo mismo, dejando las amenazas, sabiendo que el Señor de ellos y vuestro está en los cielos, y que para él no hay acepción de personas.

1. Un Problema Especial.
“Siervos, obedeced a vuestros amos terrenales…” (6.5a)
a. Considere su trabajo como una sociedad con Dios.
b. Considere su trabajo como una oportunidad y sea agradecido.

2. Una Perspectiva Efectiva.
“Con sencillez de vuestro corazón, como a Cristo.” (6.5b)
a. Considere su trabajo como un lugar de servicio.
b. Considere su trabajo como una responsabilidad y sea fructífero

3. Un Plan Excelente.
“sirviendo de buena voluntad, como al Señor y no a los hombres.” (6.7)
a. Considere su lugar de trabajo como un lugar donde testificar.
b. Considere su trabajo como un ministerio y sea fiel.

"Better as One"

Marriage is a 100% commitment, not a 50-50 contract.

Couples that keep score will never have a fulfilling marriage.

Ephesians 5:22-33
Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, because we are members of his body. “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church. However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

Focusing on your spouse meeting your needs will always lead to disappointment

Submission is a gift to be offered not a command to be demanded

Mutual submission is a beautiful picture of the Gospel

Married Couples

Don’t just survive...COMMUNICATE
Don’t talk down to your spouse...especially in public
Take trips together...without the kids

Single but Looking

The wrong person is much worse than no person...don’t settle
Don’t marry someone you don’t trust...they must be “submit-worthy”

Someteos unos a otros en el temor de Dios. Las casadas estén sujetas a sus propios maridos, como al Señor; porque el marido es cabeza de la mujer, así como Cristo es cabeza de la iglesia, la cual es su cuerpo, y él es su Salvador. Así que, como la iglesia está sujeta a Cristo, así también las casadas lo estén a sus maridos en todo. Maridos, amad a vuestras mujeres, así como Cristo amó a la iglesia, y se entregó a sí mismo por ella, para santificarla, habiéndola purificado en el lavamiento del agua por la palabra, a fin de presentársela a sí mismo, una iglesia gloriosa, que no tuviese mancha ni arruga ni cosa semejante, sino que fuese santa y sin mancha. Así también los maridos deben amar a sus mujeres como a sus mismos cuerpos. El que ama a su mujer, a sí mismo se ama. Porque nadie aborreció jamás a su propia carne, sino que la sustenta y la cuida, como también Cristo a la iglesia, porque somos miembros de su cuerpo, de su carne y de sus huesos. Por esto dejará el hombre a su padre y a su madre, y se unirá a su mujer, y los dos serán una sola carne. Grande es este misterio; mas yo digo esto respecto de Cristo y de la iglesia. Por lo demás, cada uno de vosotros ame también a su mujer como a sí mismo; y la mujer respete a su marido.

God knows what you need and what you desire better than you do

“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

Loving God and loving people takes the focus off of me

God is the only one who can meet my needs

Psalm 37:4
Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Philippians 2:3-4
Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.

Selfishness never satisfies and ultimately destroys

Serving gives life and brings contentment

Mejor Juntos: Unos con Otros
==========

Filipenses 2:1-4
Por tanto, si hay alguna consolación en Cristo, si algún consuelo de amor, si alguna comunión del Espíritu, si algún afecto entrañable, si alguna misericordia, completad mi gozo, sintiendo lo mismo, teniendo el mismo amor, unánimes, sintiendo una misma cosa. Nada hagáis por contienda o por vanagloria; antes bien con humildad, estimando cada uno a los demás como superiores a él mismo; no mirando cada uno por lo suyo propio, sino cada cual también por lo de los otros.

La unidad del pueblo del Señor es un don precioso y permite que el Espíritu Santo obre: “Cuando llegó el día de Pentecostés, estaban todos juntos en un mismo lugar”. (Hechos 2:1). Hay motivos o razones para la unidad de la iglesia, debemos responder a tres preguntas:

¿Que?
“Ámense los unos a los otros con amor fraternal, respetándose y honrándose mutuamente.” (Romanos 12.10)
Amor fraternal

¿Por qué?
“Por tanto, si sienten algún estímulo en su unión con Cristo, algún consuelo en su amor, algún compañerismo en el Espíritu, algún afecto entrañable.” (Filipenses 2.1)
Por la unión con Cristo.
Por el consuelo del amor.
Por el compañerismo en el Espíritu.
Por un afecto profundo.

¿Cómo?
“2llénenme de alegría teniendo un mismo parecer, un mismo amor, unidos en alma y pensamiento. 3 No hagan nada por egoísmo o vanidad; más bien, con humildad consideren a los demás como superiores a ustedes mismos. 4 Cada uno debe velar no solo por sus propios intereses, sino también por los intereses de los demás.” (Filipenses 2.2-4)

Teniendo el mismo parecer
Teniendo el mismo amor
Teniendo Unanimidad
No haciendo nada por contienda
Estimando a los demás como superiores
No mirando cada uno por lo suyo propio

We are unique

We are valued

Colossians 1:15-16
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.

We are known

Ephesians 5:1-2
Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

The Lamb

Exodus 12:1-6
The Lord said to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, “This month shall be for you the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year for you. Tell all the congregation of Israel that on the tenth day of this month every man shall take a lamb according to their fathers’ houses, a lamb for a household. And if the household is too small for a lamb, then he and his nearest neighbor shall take according to the number of persons; according to what each can eat you shall make your count for the lamb. Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male a year old. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats, and you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of this month, when the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill their lambs at twilight.

One for a person
One for a family
One for the nation
One for the world

The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

The Blood

Luke 2:8-14
And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”

Éxodo 1:11-13
Fue así como los egipcios pusieron capataces para que oprimieran a los israelitas. Les impusieron trabajos forzados, tales como los de edificar para el faraón las ciudades de almacenaje Pitón y Ramsés. Pero cuanto más los oprimían, más se multiplicaban y se extendían, de modo que los egipcios llegaron a tenerles miedo; por eso les imponían trabajos pesados y los trataban con crueldad.

La Condición de Israel. (Éxodo 1:11-13)
Esclavitud política.
Esclavitud económica.
Esclavitud social.
Esclavitud espiritual.

El Carácter de Moisés. (Éxodo 2:11-12)
40 años en Egipto tratando de ser alguien.
40 años en el Desierto siendo nadie.
40 años en medio del Pueblo demostrando que Dios es todo.

El Cuidado del Señor. (Éxodo 2:23-24)
Dios ve y escucha.
Dios cumple sus promesas.
Dios utiliza como parte de su plan.
